Protecting Your Capital
Jungle Rebounder includes comprehensive risk management features to protect your capital and help you trade responsibly. Understanding these controls is essential for safe trading.
Key Risk Controls
🛡️ Per-Sequence Max Loss
Maximum loss per sequence before automatic closure
Each preset has a max loss percentage (1-5% of your equity/allocated capital). If a sequence reaches this limit, it closes automatically to prevent further losses.
📊 Daily Loss Limit (Optional)
Maximum total loss per day across all sequences
Set a daily loss cap (0.5% to 10% of balance). When reached, the bot stops trading for the day and resumes the next day. You'll receive warnings at 50%, 75%, and 90% of the limit.
💰 Maximum Exposure
Total exposure limit across all sequences
Prevents over-leveraging by limiting total notional exposure (including leverage) as a percentage of your equity. Each preset has optimized exposure limits.
🔢 Max Concurrent Sequences
Limit the number of open sequences simultaneously
Each preset limits how many sequences can be open at once (1-4 sequences). This prevents over-exposure and helps manage risk across multiple positions.
Automatic Protections
The bot automatically protects you by:
- Closing sequences when max loss is reached (prevents further losses)
- Stopping trading when daily loss limit is hit (protects against bad days)
- Warning you when approaching exposure limits (gives you time to adjust)
- Preventing new sequences if limits would be exceeded (stops over-leveraging)
How Risk Presets Work
Each risk preset includes optimized risk parameters:
- Safe: 1% max loss, 1x leverage, 1 max sequence, 40% max exposure
- Moderate: 2% max loss, 2x leverage, 2 max sequences, 50% max exposure
- Degen: 3% max loss, 3x leverage, 3 max sequences, 75% max exposure
- Extreme: 5% max loss, 4x leverage, 4 max sequences, 90% max exposure ⚠️
Configuring Risk Settings
You can configure risk settings in two ways:
Option 1: Use a Risk Preset (Recommended)
Choose Safe, Moderate, Degen, or Extreme preset. Each preset includes optimized risk parameters that work together.
Option 2: Custom Configuration
Manually adjust individual parameters like max loss, daily loss limit, and exposure limits. Use with caution - presets are optimized for safety.
Configure risk settings in the Configuration page (web dashboard) or via /configure command in Telegram.
⚠️ Important: Risk management cannot eliminate all risk. Trading involves the possibility of loss. Never risk more than you can afford to lose. Always start with DRY mode to test your strategy.
